Please welcome their call if a member contacts you to get feedback. Thank you in advance.
NEW NEWS
1. Workathon is this Saturday – If you haven’t signed up on
Volunteer Spot to be part of our Workathon, there is still time to do it! Go to http://vols.pt//JMMLCX (The Remind texts are incorrect.) We need everyone’s help! Work-sites are depending on us to help. Our school goal is $34,000. To date, we have raised $20,178.20, with
several students reaching their personal goal of $150/student. If students still have money they have
collected and not turned into school, money can still be turned in and they
will receive their respective prizes. Two
homerooms have earned breakfast at school! All pledges will be applied towards
your $350 fundraising goal/child.
Assignments
will be handed out today, so please check your youngest’s Thursday folder to
find out what site you have been assigned.
Team leaders, please call your work site to confirm and also call all
members of your group.
Saturday, October 24th – We will gather in the gym
with prayer first at 8:15 am. We will have
donuts and coffee available after prayer.
This will be a time to connect with your work group. Afterwards, please proceed to your work site.
Introduce yourself to the property owners.
Once you have completed the job, please contact a leaf hauler to come
pick up your leaves. You are welcome to
join other All Saints Academy families as well as other Catholic school
families for a hot dog cook out at Cathedral High School afterwards.
2. Halloween Carnival – The
Halloween Carnival will again be hosted by PAC this Saturday, Oct. 24th. After a day of work, the kids
will love an evening of fun! Our 6th graders have created and will
be hosting 6 games at the Carnival. They
will also be working Eerie Alley, if you are brave enough to enter! You
can dress up and get an extra night’s use of that Halloween costume, or
come casual. There will also be food available for purchase. The event is held
at the ASA Waite Park building from 5-8 pm. Bring your neighborhood
friends and relatives as all are welcome. Part of the proceeds will go towards
6th grade Deep Portage Outdoor Environmental Camp trip this February.
3.
Spaghetti Dinner October 30th
– Invitations were mailed out and sent home last week. Many people have RSVP’d to our Spaghetti
Dinner. Space is limited so let us know
if you plan on attending. The date is Friday, October 30th with the
social beginning at 5:30 pm, dinner buffet at 6:30 pm. An “alumni cook” of the Spaghetti Dinner is
returning to make our delicious Italian meal.
Sandy Faust, whose children attended SPPM will be heading up our
kitchen. As the invite said, we will be
honoring some of our volunteers in a short program after dinner. There is no charge for the dinner and a cash
bar for beer & wine will be available.
Please RSVP by emailing Marissa Bristow at marissa.bristow@allsaintsmn.org.
4. Family Lunch Accounts - Family Lunch
accounts need to be kept up to date. Notices are in Thursday folders this week if
you owe $10 or more. If the balance owed is more than $30.00, students will
receive a sandwich and milk during lunch until payment is received beginning
Monday, October 26th. According to Federal Policy from the Department of
Agriculture, “Schools may deny a meal to a student who pays reduced or full
price and who does not provide the required payment for the meal.” Your cooperation with this matter is most
appreciated.
5. Trick or Treat in the halls – On
Sunday, Oct. 25th families from the surrounding communities are invited
to Trick-or-Treat through the College of St. Benedict first-year residence
halls and to enjoy a Halloween Carnival with fun games, activities and
prizes. It will be held 1:00 – 3:00 pm. For questions or more info, please contact
Alison Zetah at azetah@csbsju.edu
or 320-363-5619.

the office or the Funzone room to fill out a form. You may also email Funzone@sc.funzone@allsaintsmn.org
to reserve your child’s spot.

· All Saints Day Celebration – All
Saints Academy will be celebrating All Saints Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3rd. Mass will be held at 9:00 am. Everyone is welcome to join us in the morning
as we celebrate our feast day.
Afterwards, St. Joseph campus will be spending the day at the St. Cloud
campus for a day of activities. YuppyPhoto will be taking a school photo so we
are asking that everyone wear his or her spiritwear!
· Safe Environment Training – Many
of you have completed the required paperwork needed for background checks. Part of the process is completing the Safe
Environment Training that is found online.
If you are volunteering at the school, it is required that you complete
this training every year. Thank you to those of you who have completed the
online training. Please go to http://stcdio.org/safeenvironmentinstructions/ to
complete the training. The video is
approximately 11 minutes long. Make
sure to answer the questions and click “Submit.”
· Youth Hockey – St.
Cloud Youth Hockey will have the event “Try
Hockey For Free” on Saturday mornings (Oct. 31, Nov. 14, Nov. 21, Dec. 5
& Dec. 12) from 8 – 9 am at the MAC, 5001 Veterans Dr., St. Cloud. Kids 4 – 8 years old in Dist. 742 who aren’t
currently in hockey may register.
Registration forms are available in the office.
· Spiritwear Day – Spiritwear
Day is every Wednesday that school is in session. We invite everyone (students, faculty, staff,
parents) to wear some kind of Spiritwear to school every Wednesday. We have some new zip up sweatshirts in
student sizes as well as hooded sweatshirts. If you are interested in an ASA
sweatshirt or t-shirt, you may check out our supply of Spiritwear! Many of you may have seen our new items for
adults as well. Contact Marissa Bristow,
marissa.bristow@allsaintsmn.org or stop
in the office to try on something.
· Volunteer Opportunity – We are
in need of a volunteer that is willing to work at St. Peter’s independently. It requires recording & list making of
furniture that we are storing at St. Peter’s.
There is some movement of furniture required in order to take photos of
the furniture. If you are interested in
helping us, please contact Amanda Gjerde, Amanda.gjerde@allsaintsmn.org. All hours will count towards your 15-hour
volunteer requirement.
·
School Speak – ASA
has implemented School Speak, a new online school management
system. It is a secure portal that
allows us to store information and communicate with our families. Many of you
have received the introductory email to log in to School Speak. If you haven’t, please contact the office,
251-5295, so that we can provide the information for you. We would like all parents to log in and
update their profile. This technology
will allow us to provide more information, communicate with parents and offer
useful tools for everyone who is a member of our school community.
·
Sign Up for REMIND: The St.
Cloud Campus would like to invite parents/guardians to sign up for REMIND.
REMIND is a safe, free and easy way we can connect with parents through
texting. It allows us to communicate with all parents instantly. Signing up is
done through a unique code to Mrs. Marissa Bristow. Please text to 612-260-4578
