 Every Thursday school is in session you will be receiving a link to the  “Weekly Parent Newsletter”. Please read carefully. This will contain All Saints Academy, St. Cloud news for you and your family.

1. All Saints Day Mass - All Saints Academy will be having mass as a whole school TOMORROW, Oct. 31st at St. Michael's Church.  Everyone is welcome to join us in the morning as we celebrate our feast day.  Bishop Donald Kettler will be saying mass at 9:00 am for us.  

2. PAA BasketballIf your 5th or 6th grade student is interested in playing basketball this season, please complete a PAA Authorization Form. The form is on the website, go to Family Resources, St. Cloud Campus. The forms are also located in the office.  Please return to the office by TOMORROW, October 31st.  If you are interested in coaching, please indicate that on the form.

3. The Annual Spaghetti Dinner is This Saturday!! – If you have not already, please RSVP by TOMORROW.

4. Week 1: Thanksgiving Food Drive - We are beginning to collect items for our Thanksgiving food drive.  We will be collecting items for the next three weeks, each week focusing on specific items.  For the week of November 3rd, please send personal care and baby items to school with your child.  The items may be brought in any time during the Week of November 3-7.  Thank you for your generosity.

5. P/S/T Conferences - Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, November 20th and Monday, November 24th from 3:45 - 7:00 pm.  All students in preschool through 6th grade will have scheduled conferences. Please look for information next week via e-mail and the Weekly Parent Newsletter for further information regarding on-line scheduling.

6. Lost & Found - Are you missing any sweatshirts or jackets? How about a pair of mittens or a hat? Please come visit our Lost & Found bin and table in the front entryway. We have a lot of things that are unclaimed by our students which have been gathered in our lunchroom, playground, gym and hallway. Please take a minute and look through the items we have.

7. Lunch Schedule – Recess is after lunch now.  The new lunch schedule is as follows:
·        11:00 – 5th grade
·        11:05 – 6th grade
·        11:10 – 4TH grade
·        11:20 – 1st grade
·        11:25 – Kindergarten
·        11:30 – 2nd grade
·        11:35  - 3rd grade
 
8. Spiritwear Sale - We hope many of you took advantage of our online store for ASA spiritwear.  If you missed the ordering window, we have a few items for sale in the office.  You are welcome to come shopping in the main office. Every Wednesday is Spiritwear Day and we invite students, staff and adults to wear their spiritwear on Wednesdays.

9. Cathedral Open House - Tuesday, November 4th from 6:30-8:30 Cathedral High School will host an open house. This is a great opportunity to tour the school, meet faculty, administrators and students and learn more about Cathedral. 10. Sunday School at St. Peter's – Sunday School started LAST Sunday October 26th. It is not too late to participate. Registration forms and Calendars are on the website or in the gathering spaces of the churches.  Sunday School welcomes 3 year olds through first graders during the 10:30 mass to pray and sing together.  We learn about our Catholic faith, hear God's word and do crafts to help us remember what we learned.  I am getting class lists ready so please send your registration forms in ASAP.  You do NOT need to be a member of St. Peter's or St. Paul's for your children to attend, ALL are welcome! ·     Please note that from now on the FunZone Monthly Newsletter will be sent to all families by e-mail only (to save on paper and copying costs). If you would like to continue receiving a paper copy, please inform the school office or FunZone.
·     Birthday Treats – If your child will be sharing a birthday treat with his/her class this year, we encourage you to be health conscious and peanut/tree nut safe when sending these treats to school. Some healthy snack ideas include grain products (crackers, pretzels, cereal bars), fruit, vegetables, milk products (cheese, yogurt, pudding) or meat/protein (sunflower seeds and cold cuts). If you have questions regarding allergies of students in your child’s class, please contact the teacher or Mrs. Gjerde.
·     Sign Up for REMINDThe St. Cloud Campus would like to invite parents/guardians to sign up for REMIND.  REMIND is a safe, free and easy way we can connect with parents through texting.  It allows us to communicate with all parents instantly.  Signing up is done through a unique code to Mrs. Bristow.  Please text to 612-260-4578 and in the message enter @ef392.  It is that easy.  You will be added on to the parent list.

12. Recess Volunteers – We are greatly in need of parent volunteers now that the weather is getting colder. Please contact the office to let us know when you will be available. Three parents are needed each day.

 Please note that District 742 will not be in session October 27th & 28th.  All Saints Academy will be holding normal classes both days.
There will not be any district transportation available on those two dates.  FunZone After School Care is available for pre-registration if needed. If you have questions, please contact Amanda Gjerde at 251-5295.

 1.  Home & School Halloween Carnival - Everyone is invited to the Halloween Carnival at the Waite Park Campus, 108 6th Ave N, Waite Park THIS SATURDAY, Oct. 25th.  The carnival will run from 5 – 8 pm. There is no entrance fee, but there is a cost for tickets to play games and get food. There will be lots of games. Some of these games will be run by our 6th graders!  We are still in need of volunteers to help make the evening happen.  If you plan on bringing your children to the Halloween Carnival, consider donating your time to volunteer. This is a wonderful way to get your volunteer hours taken care of this year.  Please email Jen Stueve at allfleetleasing@yahoo.com or Jen Buckentine at jenbucke@hotmail.com.  Happy Halloween!

 2. Make A Difference Day - All Saints Academy along with the St. Cloud Times is supporting the Make A Difference program.  This year the focus is on homelessness in the community.  Your family can help by donating gently used or new coats, hats and mittens.  There will be a collection box in the entry way where you may place your donation.  The box will be in our building until TOMORROW, Oct. 24th. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

 3. All Saints Day Mass - All Saints Academy will be having mass as a whole school on Friday, Oct. 31st at St. Michael's Church.  Everyone is welcome to join us in the morning as we celebrate our feast day.  Bishop Donald Kettler will be saying mass at 9:00 am for us.  

4. Experience All Saints Academy Day – You may know children (PreK - 5th grade) who might be interested in learning more about All Saints Academy. Consider inviting him/her to Experience All Saints Academy Day, Tuesday, October 28th.  They are welcome to stay for part of the day or the whole day.  Prospective students will enjoy meeting other students, teachers and staff.  They will participate in our daily schedule, classes, activities and lunch is on us.  If you know of a child who might be interested in joining us for the day, please have them make a reservation by calling 251-5295!

5. 10. Harvest Dinner Student Volunteers Needed this Saturday - student volunteers are needed to help with serving at the annual Harvest Dinner this Saturday, October 25th at St Paul’s in the church cafeteria.
We need 6 – 8 students in grade 5 or older. The commitment is 10:30 to 2:00. If you cannot commit to the complete time, it can be broken into 2 shifts 10:30 to 12:30 (set up and serving)  or 11:45 to 2:00  (serving and cleanup).
Volunteers are asked to wear black pants and a white shirt (not a t shirt).

1. Marathon Update - We are very pleased to report that the St. Cloud Campus Marathon raised $41,045.88!  Thanks to all of you, your friends, your relatives and your neighbors. 100% of these funds stay here at All Saints Academy.  Thank you to the Knights of Columbus for hosting and organizing this event.  If students still have money that they have collected and not turned into school, they can still do that and get their respective prizes.  We have 5 homerooms that will receive a Waffle Breakfast and 3 homerooms have earned a Donut & Juice Breakfast!  Congratulations to all students for all their hard work.

2. Reminder: Fall Break Oct. 16-17 – Thursday, October 16th and Friday, October 17th there will be no school for fall break. Also, there will not be a parent newsletter next week. If needed, FunZone still has a few openings on Thursday and Friday by pre-registration only. Please contact FunZone at (320) 281-5387 or sc.funzone@allsaintsmn.org for registration or additional information.

Home & School - We had a very successful meeting Tuesday evening.  Our new co-presidents will be Jen Stueve & Jen Buckentine.  The Secretary position will be held by Jen Jankowski.  And our Treasurer will be Maria Kosiba.  They are in full swing with planning the Halloween Carnival.  It will be held Saturday, Oct. 25th at the WP Campus building. There will also be monthly meetings throughout the year.  The group is open to parents at All Saints Academy.  If you need to fulfill volunteer hours, this is a wonderful opportunity that doesn’t require day-time volunteering.  Please contact Jen Stueve, allfleetleasing@yahoo.com or Jen Buckentine at jenbucke@hotmail.com.  More info coming about the Halloween Carnival.
