Every Thursday school is in session you will be receiving a link to the “Weekly Parent Newsletter”. Please read carefully. This will contain All Saints Academy, St. Cloud news for you and your family.

ALL SAINTS ACADEMY IS IN SESSION FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2016.  DISTRICT 742 IS NOT HOLDNG CLASSES THEREFORE THERE WILL BE NO BUSSING AVAILABLE.

NEW NEWS
Workathon 2016 – Save the Date:  October 29th
TOMORROW, SATURDAY, IS THE WORKATHON!  The St. Cloud Campus has brought in over 96% of our goal.  Many students have also reached their personal goal of $200/student.  Our school goal is $34,000.  All pledges will be applied towards your $350 fundraising goal/child. Please continue to turn in money daily.  Send all money to school in a sealed and labeled envelope.  Write your child’s name, homeroom and total amount enclosed on the outside of the envelope.  Work sites are available for sign up at SignUp.com.  The link is http://signup.com/go/aFkxR9.  There are many work sites available yet.  Please take the time to volunteer.

Saturday, October 29th - We will begin the morning at 8:15 am by gathering in the gym for prayer.  This will be the time you can pick up plastic bags for all the leaves and yard waste.  As you leave for your work sites, there will be donuts for all school families & staff participating in the Workathon. If you complete your work site prior to 11 am, please call the office or email Marissa (251-5295or marissa.bristow@allsaintsmn.org) so that we may send you to another work site to help those volunteers finish up raking.  At 11 am, you may join other elementary school families at Cathedral High School for a cook out with hot dogs.

Halloween Carnival
The Annual PAC Halloween Carnival will be held Saturday, October 29th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Waite Park school building. This is an exciting and fun-filled, safe family event filled with food, games and activities. Eerie Alley, the haunted basement, is not to be missed! 

PAC is in need of volunteers help to make the evening a great success for our kiddos. Please take a moment to sign-up to volunteer this Saturday.  Go to:

PAA Basketball – Basketball season is around the corner.  If any 5th or 6th graders haven’t already signed up for basketball, please complete a PAA form that is attached to the School Speak version of the newsletter.  The form is also available on School Speak under PAA.  Cost is $35/sport or or $85 for 3 sports all year.  If you have previously signed up for basketball, nothing is required at this time.

ARTSMART – ArtSmart begins in November.  5th/6th will meet on November 14, 21, 28 & Dec. 5th.  3rd/4th will meet November 8, 15, 22 & 29.  1st/2nd will meet November 2, 9,15 & 23.  Please check your child’s Thursday folder for an enrollment form.

Spaghetti Dinner, November 19th – Save the date & Join Us - As we celebrate All Saints Academy! November 19th , ASA will be hosting the Spaghetti Dinner.  There will a social beginning at 5:30 pm.  Dinner begins at 6:30 pm.  We will be recognizing Linda Heinen for the “Inspire Award” as well as volunteers and supporters of All Saints Academy.  Everyone is invited to A celebration of All Saints Academy: A Fun-Raiser and Friend-Raiser!  Please RSVP at 251-5295 if you would like to attend.  There is no charge for the event!  Please RSVP to contacting the office at 251-5295 or email marissa.bristow@allsaintsmn.org.

·      Family Lunch accounts need to be kept up to date. Families will receive notice if their balance is at or below $-10.00 in their youngest Thursday folder. Your cooperation with this matter is most appreciated.
·      Sign Up for REMIND: The St. Cloud Campus would like to invite parents/guardians to sign up for REMIND. REMIND is a safe, free and easy way we can connect with parents through texting. It allows us to communicate with all parents instantly. Signing up is done through a unique code to Mrs. Marissa Bristow. Please text to 612-260-4578 and in the message enter @ef392. It is that easy. You will be added on to the parent list.  If you have signed up in the past, it is not necessary to sign up again.
·      Keep Collecting! - Continue to save Labels For Learning, Labels for Education (Campbell's. Swansons, Post, and Prego) only the UPC with the point value is accepted, Box Tops for Education, UPC's from Country Hearth and Village Hearth Products as part of the Loaves4Learning Program, pop and can tabs, old cell phones and used ink cartridges.  ASA just received a check for $1450 from Coborn’s for Labels for Learning….keep saving them!

NEW NEWS
Workathon 2016 – Save the Date:  October 29th
Hopefully, everyone has received your Workathon Family Packet.  Thank you very much to Leaf Man for taking a break from his superhero activities to talk to the students about “Saints In Service.”  We have already received several monetary pledges!  Collections for Monday – Thursday total is $4817.49.  A few students have also reached their personal goal of $200/student.  Our school goal is $34,000.  All pledges will be applied towards your $350 fundraising goal/child.  Each child received a pledge sheet to track his/her fundraising.  Please turn in money daily.  Send all money to school in a sealed and labeled envelope.  Write your child’s name, homeroom and total amount enclosed on the outside of the envelope.  Students will be notified if money comes to the office from their letter-writing.

The St. Cloud Campus’ goal is $34,000. If you know of someone who is need of help with fall yard work, please contact the office at 251-5295.

Halloween Carnival

Funzone during Fall Break
Will you be needing child-care October 20th & October 21st?  There is no school on those days due to fall break.  Please let Funzone know you have a need those days specifically.  If you are need of a form, please email Andrea Kuechle at sc.funzone@allsaintsmn.org

BULLETIN BOARD
·      College of St. Benedict’s will be hosting Halloween in the Halls Sunday, October 30th from 1 -3 pm.  Families are invited to Trick-or-Treat in the residence halls at CSB.  Festivities include a Halloween carnival with games, prizes & carriage rides.  Events will take place at Gorecki Dining Center.   For questions, please contact Elle Larsen at ellarsen@csbsju.edu or 320-363-5619.
·      St. Cloud Youth Hockey will be having a session to Intro To Hockey Saturday mornings from at 8 – 9 am at the MAC.  Saturdays include 10/29, 11/5, 11/19, 12/3 & 12/10.  Please refer to the attached flyer.
