Triduum
The Days of the Triduum Begin Today - Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. The three most important days of the liturgical year, filled with pageantry, prayer, penance, procession and pilgrimage. These days celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord.
We invite and encourage you to celebrate these days with your children as the holiest days of the year that they are.  Traditions can begin at any point in time; if you don’t already have Sacred Triduum traditions in your family, it’s never too late to begin.
For example, consider a simple Seder meal on Thursday evening, followed by participation at liturgy.  On Good Friday, spend quiet time together as family, especially between noon and three; eat very simply and attend Good Friday services.  Then, attend the celebration of the Easter Vigil and welcome new members to our Catholic faith.
Please involve your family in these special holy days; make these services a part of your family tradition.
Following are the schedules from our parishes to assist you in incorporating these rich traditions of faith into your upcoming family days.

Lenten Projects
Our students are participating in three Lenten projects this spring. First, they are creating birthday bags for Catholic Charities designed for parents to pick up in order to celebrate their children’s birthdays. Bags will include boxed cake mix, frosting, candles, a card, and a small gift for children ages 1-9. We are still in need of frosting, birthday candles, new children’s books and small gifts for young children. Please consider donating these items to our birthday bag mission by bringing any of these items to the main lobby as soon as possible. Second, students are dropping coins into their rice bowl boxes to benefit Catholic Relief Services. Finally, students are bringing a donation or prayer request to mass on Fridays. Please join us in our prayerful preparation for the Triduum and Easter Sunday.
