November 2, 2017 Weekly Parent Newsletter

Weekly Parent Newsletter
All Saints Academy, St. Cloud Campus
November 2, 2017
Every Thursday school is in session you will be receiving a link to the “Weekly Parent Newsletter”. Please read carefully. This will contain All Saints Academy, St. Cloud news for you and your family.
NO MASS this Friday due to the all-school mass on All Saints Day.
No School on Monday, November 6th  due to a joint CCS in-service.
Morning Meeting will be on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Please arrive before 7:45 am so your child doesn’t miss the fun!
Winter Clothing
Now that winter has descended upon us, students need to dress appropriately for outdoor recess.  They go outside on most days.  Please send boots and snow pants to school everyday.   Wearing the appropriate winter clothing keeps them warm and shoes/clothing dry during the school day.  Students may leave snow pants and boots at school on their hook.
Kindness Retreat
Thank you to Ellie’s Army for coming to our All Saints Day celebration yesterday to work with our students at our Kindness Retreat.  Placemats with top “30 Most Important Manners” will be coming home in today’s Thursday folders.  Please look for it in your youngest backpack.
We would also like to thank PAC for sponsoring our Kindness Matters Bracelets. We are so thankful for the support of both organizations!
Work-a-thon Update
Due to the weather, the Work-a-thon was cancelled CCS-wide last Saturday, Oct. 28th.  But our worksites still need their lawn raked.  An email went out asking work crews to work together to try and get the yards completed by Nov. 11.  We are working with leaf haulers to find appropriate times for pick up of bagged leaves.  Thank you to everyone who has completed their yards.  As a school we have raised 84% of our goal!  We are still receiving money in the mail!  Several homerooms have met their goal and will be planning their Pajama Day, popcorn parties and movie days.  If the school reaches it goal, there will be a movie afternoon for the whole school!  We hope we reach out school-wide goal!
It’s not too late to make contact with individuals who haven’t responded to your student’s letter writing. If people would rather give donations online, they may click on the following link,

When you donate, please enter the name of the student you are sponsoring in the “Tribute or Memorial Dedication” so we can credit the amount donated to him or her. Or consider creating your own Workathon fundraising page through ASA. Instructions are on Givemn.org.
