No bussing available Monday, December 4 th due to a District 742 workshop. We ask parents to provide transportation for their child/ren to and from school.
Successful Thanksgiving Food Drive
Thank you to everyone who participated and provided food for our Thanksgiving Food Drive. ASA families brought in a total of 858 lbs. of food ! WOW!
Bake Sale by Catholic Social Teaching Committee
The 6 th grade Catholic Social Teaching Committee, Option for the Poor and Vulnerable, will be hosting nut free bake sales after our Friday school masses during the month of December. The first one will be Friday, December 1 st . They will also be held Dec. 8 th 15 th . Students are welcome to bring a small amount of money to purchase baked items from the sale. All purchases will be consumed at home! All proceeds will be donated to Place of Hope and Kids Against Hunger. Thank you in advance for supporting the bake sale!
Additionally, chunky crayons will also be available for $1 at the bake sale. All of the proceeds from the crayons will benefit Crayons for Cancer.
Thank You From PAC
The Parent Activities Committee (PAC) would like to thank all the families and staff who supported our Thanksgiving Pie Sale! We really appreciate you! We would also like to thank Tanya Finken and Kay's Kitchen for supplying us with the delicious pies. Our next pie sale will be around Easter time. Please consider supporting our next pie sale. PAC funds directly support your student and your child’s teacher. What a terrific way to give back and eat pie at the same time!

Lost & Found Items

Please take some time to check out our Lost and Found shelves.  We have acquired numerous items that have been found throughout our building.  All items will be donated during the Christmas break. 

Advent Prayer Services-Morning Meeting
Advent begins this coming Sunday. School Advent prayer services have been planned during our Monday Morning Meetings at 7:45 amfor the month of December Monday during Advent at 7:45 am. We ask that students arrive no later than 7:40am . Parents, please join us!
There will be a final prayer service on Wednesday, Dec. 21 st at 2:00 pm followed by Christmas carol sing-along in the gym. All are welcome to attend all prayer services.
Giving Tree Ornaments
The season of giving continues as we move through the season of Advent. We want to live out our core value of "Sharing Generously" with those in our own community. We never need to look very far to reach be the helping hand that people very close to us may need.
This year All Saints Academy has adopted five families. Please consider helping us provide a merry Christmas to these families. If you would like to participate in our Giving Tree, please stop by the school lobby and pick up an ornament containing a gift request for one of our families, purchase the gift and place it unwrapped along with the original ornament under the tree by December 20th. You are welcome to provide wrapping paper or a gift bag for the item if you wish. If you purchase a gift card, please turn the card and ornament to the school office. Ornaments will be available beginning on Tuesday of next week.
Spiritwear Online Store Grand Opening
Are you still looking for gifts for loved ones? All Saints Academy Spirit Wear Store is now available. All items ordered will be delivered to school before Christmas break begins. Click here to access the store. The store will close on Friday, Dec. 8 th . Krillan will give All Saints Academy a rebate for each item ordered.
Christmas Programs – ‘ Tis the Season!
Thursday, Dec. 7 th – The Elementary Strings Christmas Concert will be held at Holy Angels Auditorium at CHS, at 7:00 pm.
Sunday, Dec. 10 th – The Elementary Band Christmas Concert will be held at Holy Angels Auditorium at CHS, at 3:00 pm.
Tuesday, Dec. 19 th – The Preschool – 6 th grade ASA Christmas Concert will be held at St. Paul’s Church, at 6:00 pm.
Family Fun Night--December 14
Everyone connected to All Saints Academy is invited to attend a FREE FAMILY FUN NIGHT AT THE SKATIN PLACE on Thursday December 14 th from 6 – 8 pm ! This ”Action Team” event is intended to build community and provide opportunities to interact with The Jugaad Leadership Program Graduates and supporters. There will be a free will offering at the door as an ask to help support the Jugaad Program. This program aligns with the values of Catholic Social Teachings and helps individuals from diverse cultures make positive social change in their communities. Watch for more communication about this awesome event next week.
SCAYBA In-house Basketball Program
St. Cloud Area Youth Basketball Association (SCAYBA) is starting their Saturday program for Kindergarten – 5 th grade program in January. Click here to find the In-house paper registration form. The form will also be available on School Speak on the opening page.

We encourage parents/guardians to sign up for REMIND - a safe, free and easy way we can communicate with parents instantly through texting. To sign up, text ASA Administrative Assistant Mrs. Marissa Bristow at 612-260-4578, and in the message, enter @ef392 . It really is that easy.
Please remember that we are a Nut-safe building . All snacks and lunches need to be peanut-free and nut-free. There is a safe-snack list on School Speak under Announcements. NOTE: Since ingredients change this list may be updated from time to time – we ask that parents check this list before purchasing snacks throughout the year.
Did you know? Childhood allergic reactions are most likely to happen at school and 50% of reactions were previously unknown to the parents or child. Thank you for helping to keep our school safe for all of our students.

There is no school next Thursday & Friday due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
ASA will not have a parent newsletter next week.  We hope you have a relaxing and safe Thanksgiving weekend.
PAA Basketball
The first PAA basketball game is December 9th. If your child is interested in playing basketball, please turn in the paperwork as soon as possible, practice will begin soon. PAA forms are available on School Speak or in the office. Please be sure to let Lena Coe, PAA Director know if you are interested in coaching. You may email her at coefamily816@gmail.com
Thanksgiving Food Drive
As we prepare for Thanksgiving, All Saints Academy remembers those in our community who are less fortunate. Your child brought home a paper bag for the food drive benefiting Catholic Charities Food Shelf. Please fill this bag with dry goods to help us live out our mission to “Share generously.” Food bags can be dropped off between in the front entryway of school. If you have questions, please feel free to contact a member of the Social Concerns Committee (Ms. Groseth, Ms. Opatz, Ms. Wick & Mrs. VonderHaar) or the 6 th grade Catholic Social Teaching Committee.
PAC Pie Sales
Thank you to everyone who purchased pies!  Pies will be available for pick up on Tuesday, Nov. 21st from 2-4 pm and Wednesday, Nov. 22nd from 7:15 - 8 am & 2-4 pm.  Pick up will take place in cafeteria.  Thank you to everyone who purchased pies!
Give to the Max Day
Give to the Max Day is TODAY! All funds raised will support our programs and the work we do with our students. Everyone is welcome to support giving to All Saints Academy.  Please click on the following link to give: https://givemn.org/organization/453736641-32912
If you would like to include the 6.9% processing fee that ASA will be charged, you are welcome to add that to your donation.
Thanksgiving Bingo
St. Peter’s Church will be hosting Thanksgiving Bingo on Fri., Nov. 17 . Cost is $.25/game with an 8 game minimum. Children under 18 are half price. Brat or hot dog dinner is available for purchase, $3/meal. Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm with Bingo beginning at 6:00 pm. Prizes include gift cards, games, toys and of course, turkeys and pies. If you bring in the yellow coupon in your child’s Thursday folder you will get 8 free games!

If you are interested in purchasing a new Ellie’s Army t-shirt , the office is taking orders. T-shirts are $10 each. Please call the office if your child has outgrown his or her shirt. On Wednesdays, Ellie’s Army high school students visit us during the lunch hour to eat lunch with our students and play with them during recess.
Cathedral basketball coaches Matt Meyer & Ron Prom along with Bob Karn will be holding basketball skills sessions for 3 rd and 4 th graders during the months of November, December and part of January on Saturdays. Along with Cathedral Varsity players, various basketball skills will be taught to 3rd & 4th graders. Cost is $25/student. If you are interested, a registration form is attached to this newsletter on School Speak. It will also be available on School Speak on the Home page.

Winter Clothing during Recess
Now that winter has descended upon us, students need to dress appropriately for outdoor recess. They go outside on most days. Please send boots and snow pants to school everyday. Wearing the appropriate winter clothing keeps them warm and shoes/clothing dry during the school day. Students may leave snow pants and boots at school on their hook.

PAA Basketball
The first PAA basketball game is December 9th. If your child is interested in playing basketball, please turn in the paperwork as soon as possible, practice will begin soon. Pie order forms came home last week. Please take a look at all pies being offered. Pick up dates and times include Tuesday, Nov. 21st from 2-4 pm and Wednesday, Nov. 22nd from 7 - 8:15 am & 2-4 pm. Additionally, Kay’s Kitchen can only supply us with 200 pies total, so do not delay your order! Thank you for supporting PAC!

Give to the Max Day
Give to the Max Day is Thursday, November 16, 2017. Everyone is welcome to support giving to All Saints Academy. GiveMN.org makes it simple. Just search for All Saints Academy. Donations on GiveMN.org are made with a credit or debit card. Your information is secure and you receive a tax receipt in your email. If you would like to include the 6.9% processing fee that ASA will be charged, you are welcome to add that to your donation.

St. Paul’s Christian Women 2017 Holiday Bazaar
Sat., Nov. 11 th is St. Paul’s Christian Women’s Holiday Bazaar. The bazaar features professional artisans & crafters, a bake sale with their famous caramel rolls and handmade pies, silent auction, wine & beer raffle as well as cash prizes. The entertainment this year is Sing For Joy . Bazaar is from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm with the luncheon at 12:00 pm. Tickets are $13/adults & children, $11 for seniors 65 or older.
