NEW
NEWS
1. Registration Forms – We need your
registration forms returned to school. Registration forms came home 4 weeks ago. Thank you to those of you who have signed and
returned the completed forms to the office.
Much of the information was pre-populated for ease of completion. But we haven’t received many forms yet. Please
sign the form and return to school as soon as possible. If you are in need of a registration form,
please contact the office, 251-5295 and we can supply you with a new one. Our staffing decisions are based on
enrollment numbers. Retaining our
excellent staff is the cornerstone of the high quality Catholic education your
child receives. If you are in need of a
tuition assistance application, please contact Mrs. Bristow, marissa.bristow@allsaintsmn.org. We will be using Fair again
with tuition assistance.
Registration for all-day
preschool for 2016-2017 is also underway. We are accepting applications for all
sessions. If you would like to enroll
your child or you know of someone who would like to attend ASA preschool,
please call us at 251-5295. Submitting a
registration form will hold a spot for your child.
2.
Open House is March 15th – All Saints Academy would like to invite prospective parents to an
Open House for Preschool – 6th grade on Tuesday, Mar. 15th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Pass the word
onto friends or coworkers that would benefit from attending All Saints
Academy. They will be able to spend time
and tour our St. Cloud campus, 1215 11th Ave N, St. Cloud and experience the
love and caring displayed by our teachers every day. Our environment
allows child/ren to develop individually and have success academically,
spiritually and socially. Our school community provides an active,
supportive and caring environment for peers, teachers, staff and parents.
There will be tours available that evening. Our Funzone childcare
will also be available if you have questions regarding our after-school care
program. Preschool - 6th grade teachers
will also be available to visit and answer questions. Come have a tour
and see what All Saints Academy has to offer. Invite your friends!
If you have questions, please contact us at 251-5295. You may also
contact our Principal, Mrs. Gjerde, Amanda.gjerde@allsaintsmn.org or her assistant, Mrs. Bristow, marissa.bristow@allsaintsmn.org.
3. Fish
Fry Volunteers Needed – All Saints Academy Fish
Fry is Friday, March 18th at the SJ Campus. This is a large community event and requires
the help of many people. Not only is the
Fish fry a fundraiser for the school, but it also shows how the school
community lives out the virtue of hospitality.
Please use Volunteer
Spot http://vols.pt/2zeD7s to sign up by Thursday March 4th.
An explanation of each job is listed. Those of you who have worked in the past
know what fun it is. If you are short on your volunteer hours,
this is a great opportunity to fulfill your hours. We hope you will all
join us. Every ticket you sell applies
to your fundraising quota, too!
4. Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign – March is food share month.
The school will be collecting food donations on Friday, March 18th
during the Friday morning school mass. If food is brought before March 18th,
please place in bags located in the entryway of the school. Monetary
donations are also being accepted. Please make checks out to Catholic
Charities Food Shelf. Money will also be collected at mass.

· Autism: Connecting Families – Project Speak
is holding a presentation where you can learn valuable skills and strategies
for improving your relationship with your autistic child. Visit the Project Speak event page on
eventbrite.com to learn more and RSVP.
It will be March 6th & 13th
from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at the College of Saint Benedict.
· Family Lunch Accounts - Family Lunch accounts need to be kept up to date. Notices are in
Thursday folders this week if you owe $10 or more. If the balance owed is more
than $30.00, students will receive a sandwich and milk during lunch until
payment is received. According to Federal Policy from the Department of
Agriculture, “Schools may deny a meal to a student who pays reduced or full
price and who does not provide the required payment for the meal.” Your cooperation with this matter is most
appreciated.
· Safe Environment Training – Many of you have completed the required paperwork needed
for background checks. Part of the
process is completing the Safe Environment Training that is found online. If you are volunteering at the school, it is
required that you complete this training every year. Thank you to those of you
who have completed the online training.
Please go to http://stcdio.org/safeenvironmentinstructions/ to complete the training. The video is approximately 11 minutes
long. Make sure to answer the questions
and click “Submit.”
·
School Speak – ASA has
implemented School Speak, a school management system. It is a secure portal that allows us to store
information and communicate with our families. Many of you received the
introductory email to log in to School Speak but haven’t log on yet. Please
contact the office, 251-5295, so that we can provide the information for you so
you can log onto School Speak. We would
like all parents to log in and update their profile. This technology will allow us to provide more
information, communicate with parents and offer useful tools for everyone who
is a member of our school community.
·
Sign Up for REMIND: The St. Cloud Campus would like to
invite parents/guardians to sign up for REMIND. REMIND is a safe, free and easy
way we can connect with parents through texting. It allows us to communicate
with all parents instantly. Signing up is done through a unique code to Mrs.
Marissa Bristow. Please text to 612-260-4578 and in the message section enter @ef392.
It is that easy. You will be added on to the parent list. If you have signed up in the
past, it is not necessary to sign up again.
