Every Thursday school is in session you will be
receiving a link to the “Weekly Parent
Newsletter”. Please read carefully. This will contain All Saints
Academy, St. Cloud news for you and your family.
1. P/S/T
Conferences - Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, November 20th
and Monday, November 24th from 3:45 – 7:00 pm. All students in preschool
through 6th grade will have scheduled conferences. To access the on-line
scheduling please follow this link: http://vols.pt/YNugPt. Then click on your child’s
teacher and sign up for the time that suits you best. Note: you will NOT need
to register an account or keep a password on VolunteerSpot and VolunteerSpot
does not share your email address with anyone. You will receive a reminder
e-mail to confirm your scheduled appointment.
5/6th grade parents please schedule a conference with your homeroom teacher. It is not necessary
to schedule a conference with each 5th & 6th grade teacher.
Mary Lou Paul, our Preschool Teacher has added additional conference times on
Thursday, Nov. 20th beginning at 11am.
Marj
Groseth, our Spanish Teacher will be located in
the office at the very top of the main stairs as you come into the school on Monday,
Nov. 24th only from 3:45-7:00pm.
Mary
Goenner, our Music Teacher will be in the music room on
Thursday, Nov. 20th only from 3:45-7:00pm.
Ellen
Detra, our Art Teacher will be in the art room on Monday,
Nov. 24th only from 3:45-7:00pm.
Josie
Moen, our PhyEd Teacher will be in the gym on Monday, Nov.
24th only from 3:45-7:00pm.
Lisa
Poganski, our Title 1 Teacher will be in the
Title 1 room at the very top of the main stairs as you come into the school on
both nights from 4-6pm only.
If parents would like a conference with Mrs. Faye
Haws, please e-mail her at faye.haws@allsaintsmn.org to schedule an
appointment.
2. Veterans
Honored at Mass - Tuesday, Nov. 11th is Veterans Day. We will be honoring all Veterans at our all
school mass Friday, Nov. 14th.
If you are a veteran or know of any veterans, you are invited to attend
this mass. Mass will be at 8:15 am at
St. Paul’s Church.
3. Week 2: Thanksgiving
Food Drive - We are continuing to collect items for our Thanksgiving food
drive for the week of November 10th.
If you are able, please send snacks
and boxed goods to school with your child.
The items may be brought in any time during the Week of November 10-14. Thank you for your generosity.

4. Sixth grade teacher,
Anne Marie Kimble, was honored at the Leadership in Educational Excellence
Awards (LEEA) Ceremony last week -
Mrs. Kimble has served the ASA/SPPM community for 7 years as a teacher in
grades 5-8. Robert Cavanna, Executive Director of Resource Training and
Solutions, noted in his opening remarks, "Teachers are models of
excellence. They serve as examples of positive learning and leaders in
curriculum decisions. They are a model to other staff and motivate students. Teachers
are the Decisive element in giving children hope." Congratulations Mrs.
Kimble for this well-deserved honor!
5. Art Smart
Begins Monday, November 10th – Our Art Teacher, Ms. Detra will
be starting a new round of after school art classes for 1st -6th
graders beginning next week. If you are interested please bring registration
forms to the office ASAP. If you need a registration form or additional
information please contact the school office at 320-251-5295.
6. Lost &
Found - Are you missing any sweatshirts or jackets? How about a pair of
mittens or a hat? Please come visit our Lost & Found bin and table in the
front entryway. We have a lot of things
that are unclaimed by our students which have been gathered in our lunchroom,
playground, gym and hallway. Please take a minute and look through the items we
have.
7. Lunch
Schedule – Recess is after lunch now.
The new lunch schedule is as follows:

8. Spiritwear Sale - We hope many of you took advantage of our
online store for ASA spiritwear. If you
missed the ordering window, we have a few items for sale in the office. You are welcome to come shopping in the main
office. Every Wednesday is Spiritwear Day and we invite students, staff and
adults to wear their spiritwear on Wednesdays.
9. Cathedral Open House - Tuesday, November 4th
from 6:30-8:30 Cathedral High School will host an open house. This is a great
opportunity to tour the school, meet faculty, administrators and students and
learn more about Cathedral. To pre-register and be eligible to win an I-Pad

10. Bulletin Board

St. Cloud Area Youth Basketball begins January 10,
2015 for grades 1-8. Please see the flyer attached to email.

Please note that from now on the FunZone Monthly Newsletter will be sent to all families by e-mail
only (to save on paper and copying costs). If you would like to continue
receiving a paper copy, please inform the school office or FunZone.

Birthday Treats – If your child will be sharing a birthday treat with his/her class this
year, we encourage you to be health conscious and peanut/tree nut safe when
sending these treats to school. Some healthy snack ideas include grain products
(crackers, pretzels, cereal bars), fruit, vegetables, milk products (cheese,
yogurt, pudding) or meat/protein (sunflower seeds and cold cuts). If you have
questions regarding allergies of students in your child’s class, please contact
the teacher or Mrs. Gjerde.

Sign Up for REMIND - The St. Cloud Campus would like to invite parents/guardians to sign up for
REMIND. REMIND is a safe, free and easy way we can connect with parents
through texting. It allows us to communicate with all parents
instantly. Signing up is done through a unique code to Mrs.

11. Recess
Volunteers – We are greatly in need of parent volunteers now that the
weather is getting colder. Please contact the office to let us know when you
will be available. Two parents are needed each day.
